John Marsden's last book in the incredible Tomorrow series was amazing. It gripped me from page one and kept me enthralled until the very last page. It made me a bit sad to close it at the end, because it meant that I had finished an excellent series, and will be a long time until I will find another one that is just as well written.
Ellie is one of the best written characters I have come across in a long time. Her emotions were wonderfully portrayed, she was 3D, not 2D like some characters you find in other books. The other characters in the book carried on this trait. By the end of the book I felt like they were my friends too, and added another reason to be sad when I finished.
Well I'm off to begin the Ellie chronicles now. Hopefully Marsden has followed the same winning formular as before: reality.
