Reread 2016: If a book ever needed an editor, it was this one. Holy shit. New rating, 1.5 stars
Great world building, a better-than-usual romance. Minus a star for the technical jargon which got a little heavy in places and made it a bit confusing. Would've liked a dictionary of Walker terms in the back tbh.
3.5
May 2016: love love love love. This book did everything right. Onto the last!! :'(
Reread May 2016 - still love this book, I need it to be a movie series already
This was great. I love reading dystopians set in Australia, and I really liked the Aussie references in this book. Read it in a night and gave myself a headache, but it was totally worth it. Lots of room for character development (and with two more books in the series this is a good position to be in), and hilariously witty writing. I cracked up a few times whilst reading, and narrated passages to my partner.
This is it. Best book of 2016 so far, and it's going to be hard to beat.
